“Trauma is an emotional response to a negative event. Coming to realise that you might actually be traumatised is the first step in healing.” – Nicole Bayes-Fleming
Many people experience trauma whose effects can be overwhelming, difficult to recognize and understand, and even more difficult is to move out of the traumatic situation.
The statistics on trauma are worrying: “(…) it is estimated that 70 percent of adults in the U.S. will experience some type of traumatic event in their lifetime, with 20 percent going on to develop post-traumatic stress disorder after the fact.” (Nicole Bayes-Fleming on mindful.org).
Regardless of what causes trauma, two common symptoms that are observe and that impact people’s personal as well as professional life are low self-confidence and low self-worth.
We will explore this topic in today’s episode of the ProsperityOnAir podcast with my guest, Confidence and Empowerment Coach, Ena Bautista.
