“I feel I’m in the best place I’ve probably been in my life. 50s to me is an opportunity for you to step into the fact that you’ve had time to grow and know yourself. It’s new beginnings” ~ Faith Barnard
When I was listening to the interview with Faith Barnard to write my chapter for “The Female Leader: Empowerment, Confidence And Passion” published by PWN, I was really impressed by these words because this is exactly how I feel: this is the beginning of a new chapter in my life! So I decided to begin my chapter quoting Faith’s words!
This conversation with Faith was really inspiring, for my writing but especially for myself.

Whenever I read what Faith posts on Social Media, I can litteraly feel her beautiful energy and every post she publishes reminds me that life is wonderful indeed: it offers so many opportunities! Technology and the maturity you have at 50 are the right ingredients to try new things, get out of your comfort zone – you don’t have to demostrate anything to anyone, including yourself – and live this part of your life as a second chance to learn, to discover and to grow. It’s up to you and, as I say in the book:
“(…) in the words of Sir Richard Branson:
“Take a chance – it’s the best way to test yourself, have fun and push boundaries” .
I know what you are thinking. I never said it’s easy, especially the first three phases may be very difficult at times. But I can assure, it is worth trying, and like me, you may get an unexpected surprise.”
And what, in your experience, is the #1 secret for the “50-and-beyond” phase of your life?
